Serve
Every week, members of our congregation are serving with groups around Coles County and across the world. We keep our eyes open, always looking for the next way God calls us to serve. Check out our CONNECT Tab to learn more about how you can serve with us.
LOCALOur congregation’s local mission activities include CROP Walk, the Charleston Area Food Pantry, Soup Stop, Coalition for People in Need, and Habitat for Humanity. We support these projects with both volunteers and financial help.

NATIONAL/GLOBALFirst Presbyterian Church has a long history of mission involvement. We provide wells in Malawi and anti-malaria nets for mothers and children in Africa. We have also sent mission teams to Mississippi, Baton Rouge, the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance distribution center in Arkansas, St. Louis' AMEN House, and to Camp Carew and Kemmerer Village in Illinois. We also support small-scale, organic farmers across the globe through our use of Equal Exchange coffee at church events.
