We hope that you will feel warmly welcomed and comfortable at First Presbyterian Church. Our congregation is a spiritual home to all kinds of people, including lifelong believers and those who have questions and doubts. It includes people from many backgrounds and faith perspectives, all of whom come together to worship God and serve God's creation.

Worship and Sunday School Hours

Worship with us on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. We offer Sunday school for adults and youth (grades 7 through 12) before service at 9:30 a.m.

UPCOMING EVENTS....

PENTECOST is Sunday May 27!! We will have a Pentecost Offering at the church. When you give to the Pentecost Offering, you support national youth ministries focusing on youth leadership and vocational development. A portion of this offering will be given to a local agency that helps at-risk children in our own community.

Concert Benefit for Soup Stop! There will be a fundraising concert benefitting Soup Stop held at the church on Sunday, June 3 at 2:30 p.m. There is no charge to attend, but donations to support Soup Stop will be accepted. The EIU Collegium Musicum Consort will play English and German music from the Middle Ages and Renaissance using instruments from that period.

Office Hours and Location

The church office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pastors' hours are 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, or by appointment.

The church is located at 311 7th Street Charleston, Illinois (corner of 7th Street and Madison Avenue).
