We hope that you will feel warmly welcomed and comfortable at First Presbyterian Church. Our congregation is a spiritual home to all kinds of people. It includes lifelong believers and those who have a lot of questions and doubts. It includes people from many backgrounds and faith perspectives, all of whom come together to worship God and serve God's creation.

Worship and Sunday School Hours

Sunday worship is at 10:30 a.m. Christian education for children is concurrent with our 10:30 a.m. worship service. Sunday school for adults and youth (grades 7 through 12) is at 9:30 a.m.

UPCOMING EVENTS.... Join us on Wednesdays, February 1, 8 and 15 at 7:00 p.m. at the church to discuss movies and faith. You can rent Sarah's Key (Feb. 1) at Family Video. Then we'll discuss Incendies (Feb. 8) and In a Better World (Feb. 15). Pastor Thomas also has a copy of each to loan. We'll offer insights into how these powerful films speak to our spiritual journey.

ASH WEDNESDAY Service is February 22 at 6:30 p.m.

Office Hours and Location

The church office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pastors' hours are 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, or by appointment any time.

The church is located at 311 7th Street Charleston, Illinois (corner of 7th Street and Madison Avenue).
